29 January 2013 · Hunter is a very keen fisho who had tagged plenty of sharks and kingfish before but this first Marlin still eluded him. Making the most of a small gap in the weather the Scott family decided to try and catch Hunter a marlin before the school holidays ended. Crew consisted of Hunter(7yrs old), Adam and Hunters Grandparents Keith and Christine Scott aboard the family launch Odyssey.
Approached the NinePin Rock the lines were set, with only 2 lines set one of them got eaten(Pakula Evil Angle Sprocket) and Hunter was in business. The fish did a couple of powerful runs that tired in enough allowed Hunter to gain the upper hand. An hour later and a quarter later after many arm rubs and drinks of water Hunters work was done and the fish was at the trace. The decision was made to keep the fish if we felt it was going to go over 110kgs. Hunters fish is a pending small fry national record claim and not a bad first marlin. Cheers Adam Scott

Got this marlin on charter for the customer- his first marlin and the smile sais it all. It was a bigger than average black and put on a very impressive show for all on board- the fish ate a Pakula Phantom in colour fuzz in the shot gun position

3 January 2013 I purchased one of these little lures a few weeks ago as the colour is one of my favourites, but really didnt expect the strike rate that it has generated. This lure has now accounted for 16 black marlin, 3 wahoo, 2 mahi mahi and 1 yellowfin tuna. We have released 23 black marlin on charters this summer and 16 have come on this lure out of a spread of five lures. Pretty impressive strike rate !!

31st Dec 2012 A couple of fish a couple of us caught yesterday, my sailfish was caught on large Softease sprocket off the left rigger.
Marlin was caught on a lumo sprocket.

Glanville 27 December 2012 · Another cracker fish taken on a Cockroach softy (colour black Betty) I have been pulling this lure close behind my teaser on the short corner and it has accounted for probably 80% of my strikes this year.....I won't go target these little blacks without this lure!!!!!!

10 November 2012 Jeff's exploring of Gove's waters starting to show results. Great being part of the new fisheries. The guys running lures last week hooked this after 1.5 hrs of trolling, took 8 hrs to land. It was finally landed at 9pm off Cape Arnhem, Gove.
They caught it on a Lumo Beer Gut with Katana hooks off the rigger. They were running it on a 24kg outfit but ran lighter drag due to hooks, hence the fight time.
Bruce Arkoll shown in pic was not a lure fan. But has had his faith restored from what I understand!
